Tōbius mīles

ōlim mīles Rōmānus erat, quī audāx nōn erat. nōmen mīlitī Tōbius erat. Rōmānī bellum contrā hostēs gerēbant. Tōbius in bellō contrā hostēs nōn pugnābat, sed fugiēbat. aliī mīlitēs Tōbium semper rīdēbant. “ Tōbius omnia timet! ha ha ha!”

 “omnēs mē rīdent. audāx esse volō!” clāmāvit Tōbius. “sed mortem et perīculum timeō.” Tōbius tristis erat.
dux ad Tōbium vēnit. “Tobī,” inquit dux. “tū nōn audāx es, sed celer. ī trāns flūmen et spectā hostēs.” dux iussit Tōbium trāns flūmen īre et castra hostium spectāre. Tōbius trāns flūmen iit et castra hostium spectāvit. hostēs vīdit. hostēs vīnum bibēbant, neque Tōbium vidēbant. “stultī hostēs mē nōn vident!” Tōbius sēcum inquit. posteā Tōbius iterum trāns flūmen iit.

 Tōbius statim ad ducem iit. “castra spectāvī. multōs hostēs vīdī.” inquit Tōbius. “sed multum vīnum bibēbant et mē nōn vidēbant.” dux Tōbium laudāvit.

hāc nocte omnēs mīlitēs Rōmānī ad castra hostium iērunt. contrā hostēs pugnābant. hostēs nōn bene pugnābant, quia multum vīnum bibērunt. Rōmānī optimē pugnābant. Tōbius quoque contrā hostēs pugnābat, quia nunc nōn timēbat. Tōbius multōs hostēs interfēcit. Rōmānī hostēs vīcērunt et omnēs virtūtem Tōbiī laudābant.
